The Obama campaign is dedicated to the idea of chaining John McCain to George Bush. Once again last night we heard that bit about McCain voting with Bush 90% of the time. That line works because the dumb masses don’t know any better. Has it occurred to you that George Bush doesn’t have a vote in the Senate? So just how do you measure the percentage of times that McCain is voting “with” the president?

The masses really do not know any better. That is the problem with politics. Too many talk about it, very few understand it.

Agree 100% which is why I don’t think everyone should vote. Only informed people should.

On one hand, I agree. On the other, that’s a slippery slope. I fear it could lead to eventual abuse at the hands of those who decide the criteria on which permission to vote is based. Besides, there’s a part of me that thinks that the people–*all* the people–should be allowed to govern themselves, even if they make poor choices.
