ECP for short. These are the folks who cannot operate a simple device within the allotted time.
ATM: After waiting for 5 minutes you just want to say “Hey! Give me your card, what is your code? How much money do you want?”. Either that or there should be a time limit of 60 seconds. After that, the machine takes your card forever.
Microwaves: Popcorn, covering, right time
VCR/DVD: How hard is it? It’s one thing if you’re lazy, quite another if you just can’t figure it out.
Self-checkout
Any more?

There are people who cannot order from the same menu at McDonalds in 2 minutes. Oh, I am talking about me.

Self check-in kiosks at airports.
Turnstiles on the metro.

This is not really ECP but how about those folks who do 3 separate orders in the drive thru at McDonalds.

i’m commenting an incredibly long time after this was posted, but i can’t sleep so I’m reading archives. these people drive me insane! i no longer deposit my paychecks at the atm (as i am self-employed and receive my pay electronically) but when i did, i could deposit my check into checking, get cash out, and check my savings balance in well under two minutes. waiting behind someone who takes 7 minutes to get money bugs me.
and self-checkout is just impossible for most people, it seems. but then, i bet they’re the same people who think cashiers are somehow beneath them.
