Checks

Are we in the 21st Century or not?  Who still writes checks at Grocery Stores or at Wal-Mart???  I’ll tell you who.  It’s “those people.”  You know, the same people who take 24 items into the 12 items or less lane.  The same people who run back to the rear of the store to grab one more thing while they are in line, the same people who open an item, inspect it, then put it back and take another one (oops…that’s me!).

Anyway, with check cards and debit cards, why do people STILL insist on taking out their check book and writing a check?  Don’t even get me started on the ones who wait until everything is rung up to even pull their checkbook out!!!

By the way, don’t you just love those self-checkout lanes?  More stores need those.  I LOVE them.

We need a 10 year moratorium on check writing in stores.  By that time, with as fast as technology moves these days, checks will be a thing of the past.

I probably write one or two checks a year (and not at the store)… this is a great candidate for a 10 year moratorium.

    What’s a “check?”

My dad still wants his cancelled checks back via mail…

I remember my Dad used to keep his cancelled checks for 7 years down in the basement.
